Work experience

Due to the high demand we receive for Work Experience at STAR Radio, these places are very limited, so are given out to individuals that can prove they want to work in the media. There is therefore a number of criteria which need to be met.

You must be over eighteen years of age and living in the Northern Gloucestershire area and;
•Able to spend at least 4-8 hours at the radio station, twice per week for a minimum of 3 months;
•Ideally be engaged in, or about to start a recognised media or journalist training course;

•Looking to gain experience in order to find permanent work in the radio industry.

If you fit the above criteria, then please contact: -
Brody Swain
STAR Radio - Programme Manager
Cheltenham Film Studios
Arle Court
Gloucestershire GL51 6PN

Subject to availability, we can then arrange for an informal interview.

If you don’t fit the above criteria, but would still love to get into the media, then contact your local community radio station, or hospital radio, where you can also gain invaluable experience.
